Back again

A lot has happened since the last time I wrote. I am still on my spiritual journey but have ventured off on a physical side trip also. I had weight loss surgery on 2/4/09. It was a gastric sleeve and I am very glad that I had it. I have shed 65 lbs. and feel so much better about myself and that has allowed me to open up to others. Opening up to others is in essence opening myself up to God because that is where he is found - in people. Little did I realize that my weight kept me enclosed within myself and I couldn't open up to receive others, therefore I wasn't open to receiving the Spirit into my life. Sounds simple, right? Oh, contrare! I still have hangups when relating to people, but I seem to be more willing to work on those issues now. I hope to update this on a more regular basis now and by taking to pen (so to speak), I'll get a better view of myself.
